Willen, Willen Village and Willen Park all surround the area of Willen Lake. The lovely village of Willen lies at the northern edge of the North Willen Park. The village is a lovely mix of the old and the new.

Housing Willen School Housing Community Centre Willen Church

The church of St Mary Magdalene was built c 1680 and provides a familiar landmark for Milton Keynes residents. The village is also the home of the Hospice of Our Lady and Saint John. The Old School House has been tastefully renovated and is now a luxury home. The new housing has been tastefully blended with the old and the village still has a very restful and rural feel about it. You can watch an afternoons cricket on the green, have a drink at the local pub or have a stroll around the nearby lake. The village overlooks North Willen Lake which provides a haven for birdlife. On its shores stands the Peace Pagoda built by the Buddhist monks. Newer areas, Willen and Willen Park have been added providing a mix of housing and all the modern facilities. Willen school takes children between the ages of 5 and 12 and has an excellent reputation. For further details visit the Education Pages Next to the school is a Health Centre and the Local Centre. Here you can find a newsagents, a fish and chip shop, a chemist and various other stores and services. There are play parks for the children and plenty of cycle ways. The local pub, The Wayfarer serves food and has a play area for the children. A quote from a resident taken from the Forum "Willen is absolutely beautiful. I love coming back to the peace and quiet after working in London, I love walking around the lake with its pagoda, I like the serenity of St Mary Magdalene church... I am not into living in centuries old houses so I appreciate our relatively new house (14 years old), with its south facing garden and a view of the church from the bedroom windows.
